Ancestors Series

The Ancestors Series strives to create an intimate space for contemplation of timeless questions- the essence of who we are, our connection to the earth, the tapestry of heritage and the complexity of the human journey. In this visual exploration of connectivity my mixed media art practice utilizes the technique of layering acrylic paint, pigment, and ink over textured substrates. As the layers intertwine so do the narratives of past generations, speaking of the universal aspects of our existence that transcend time and culture.

Rooted in a deeply personal quest, the Ancestors Series draws inspiration from a life shaped by unique circumstances. The absence of ancestral connection has compelled me to explore the spiritual dimension, seeking understanding beyond the physical realm. Whilst this series carries deeply personal significance, I aim to evoke emotions that resonate universally.
